Process Efficiency

 

Our mission is to accelerate the implementation of great process solutions derived from existing capabilities elsewhere in AkzoNobel.

We are committed to reducing our impact on the planet and delivering more sustainable products and solutions to our customers. The efficient use of raw and auxiliary materials, energy and water contributes to this. This is the reason why these subjects are of common interest and concern across all three AkzoNobel Business Areas. Process chemists and engineers strive to make their manufacturing operations turn out products with optimal yields and purity, with as little energy and process water consumption as possible, and with minimal or zero emissions and waste production.

The Process Efficiency CoP has been established to ensure that process chemists and engineers involved in the Manufacturing and Operations segment of their businesses' Sustainable Value Chains share their knowledge, implement best practices, identify gaps in their collective knowledge and propose solutions to overcome them – with the overall aim of improving performance in the Manufacturing and Operations area cross the company as a whole.
