Who is Natascha Díaz?
I have been working as a Product Manager for Bruguer, the retail brand of Deco in Spain, for 18 months. I am responsible for several products and deal with everything related to online brand communication including promoting the brand among consumers, advertising themes and social networks. I love my job!

I live on my own in the Poble Nou district of Barcelona, very near the beach, which is something I enjoy very much as I love the sea. In summer I love being outdoors, spending time with my friends, chatting, dining, barbeques and making plans for going out. I never seem to have enough free time! I also love travelling, and I try to take several short trips throughout the year. Each year I also go on a longer holiday; this year I went to Greece.

What does color mean to you at work?
Since I have been working here, color has become very important to me. I used to work for a publishing company where I was also in contact with color, but here it has taken on a greater significance. I had never painted before, but now even my walls at home show color! I see that color has an impact on people’s lives, it brightens them, makes them more positive.

I associate blue with my work because Bruguer’s logo is blue, the office I was assigned to is blue, and AkzoNobel’s logo, which I like very much, is also blue. To me work is blue as is the sea or the night sky.

I participated in the ‘Pintado Solidario’ event for the San Jaume home in Barcelona. I found it very moving. I didn’t see the home before the project but I did see it was afterwards. The main difference was the radical change we brought to the environment of these children whose lives are already so complicated; we gave them a little bit of color. It is amazing what you can do with four cans of paint. Perhaps they won’t notice it directly, but their way of seeing things will change over time. Many people go through difficult times, so anything that can contribute to society is amazing and I am very interested in bringing color to people’s lives.

…and outside of work?
The colors that most define me and I wear most often are green and blue… and white, but more of a transparent white. I like combining them, especially in summer. My friends wear a little of everything. One is always in black, which I find interesting, and others are the opposite, the more color the better. I don’t feel defined by one color or the way I combine them, I pick a little of everything but I don’t have a defining color.

What is your all-time favorite color and why?
If I had to choose, I would choose apple or lime green. I love vivid colors; the intense green of the grassy fields of Galicia, the green of plants or the Amazonian forest. The more color we use the better. It brings happiness and joy to life.

If you could choose one color that most closely matches your personality, what would it be and why?
The color that fits my personality most is green. It is one of nature’s most vivid colors. I associate it with several things, not as the majority of people do with hope but with joy, a positive attitude and contact with nature. It is like oxygen, it gives life.
