Issue four of AkzoNobel's multi-award-winning A Magazine has been published, with its shiny Einstein cover hinting at the theme of technology which runs throughout the 64 pages.

The edition includes an interview with the former Chief Concorde Pilot for British Airways Mike Bannister, while there’s also a fascinating look at superhero abilities and futuristic technology through the eyes of professor and author Jim Kakalios, who provides the welcome message.

Kakalios is author of The Physics of Superheroes, and A Magazine readers are being given the chance to win one of five signed copies of his book.

Bannister tells us if he thinks a supersonic aircraft like Concorde will ever fly again, while Kakalios explains how Spider-Man's girlfriend, Gwen Stacey, died.

Issue number four of A Magazine also features stories covering the 2010 soccer World Cup in South Africa, biomimicry and the growing popularity of social media, with the company's head of RD&I, Graeme Armstrong, name-checking The Beatles as he explains AkzoNobel's innovation strategy.
